Thinking about opening a dealership

I was entertaining the idea of opening or expanding if you will to a Tailift dealership? Anybody have any experience with them how are they about warranty? How are the machines in general? Good or bad all comments welcome

We are the UK Artison distributor. Artison is a brand of Tailift Taiwan. We have sold hundreds of these machines, some of them into hard applications but all of them to common sense business people who know about forklifts. All of them have been trading in MHE for many years. We have many repeat orders and from a zero sold in 2006 to where we are today would not be achievable without high quality trucks and a plentiful supply of spare parts.

Having dealt in H*****u, D****n and I*****n, we know how difficult it is dealing with some Chinese manufactures who struggle with the concept of quality and spare parts. I actually watched a brand new forklift being loaded into a container with a leaking transmission I recall on one of our exploratory factory visits albeit 7 years ago!!

Having had the privilege of buying and supplying machines from Tailift albeit in green I would wholeheartedly recommend further enquires and go and see...you won't be disappointed.

I know you posted this several months ago but, here is what I recommend...RUN! In our market today there are so many different brands and new ones popping up everyday. To get an established brand you will probably have to purchase an existing company and all the baggage with it, especially in a state where company taxes are tremendous. What about union versus non-union labor. In the northeastern US, you may not be allowed to work on certain customer location if you are non union. Non union customers may not pay your union rate to do service....Forget about what lines are available,,,,save your millions, that is what you will need to get started properly, and retire to Costa Rica or somewhere.

Good Luck.

Its not the equipment , its how you use it.
Tailift machines are well built, simple to repair and are very reliable, you will not go far wrong with them.
