i have herd that the person who owns the building that Rushlift yorkshire trade out of is no longer employed by Rushlift.
So Rushlift being sold to Briggs and then moving to barlow Leeds site would be good for them.
But like i said i would have thought Doosan would have bought Rushlift. The big Rushlift contract is from what i have been told only a service contract they still look after Linde trucks , Briggs would love the chance to put in Yale trucks in this contract if they get the opportunity to move in.
hot off the press rumour has it rushlift has been sold to briggs on the other hand my source at rushlift says top men at yorkshire depot say it is not happening..........So you would assume from that it most probably could be may be sold.
But then again they havent started painting the workshop floor yet so it could be some time yet.
but then again when the company I worked for got taken over we were the very last to know.
I think well see more consolidation In the Indusrty
Just asking the question as it was mentioned above
What's that got to do with this thread ?
Is there any more updates on Still buying a dealership in the midlands?
Well as sure as the Bears will sh*t in the woods every well performing and well run Company will be for sale.. At the right price.
So where does that leave most Companies?
So what's the fuss and the news here?.. from what I can gather a few more Companies may also be "integrated"!! Is that something to be concerned about I wonder?
Briggs could if they wanted buy any company in the forklifts industry including all manufacturers, apart from maybe Toyota. Briggs through there owner Sammons are probably in the top two financially backed companies in the industry.
But i don't think they will take over Rushlift , i think if Rushlift sell it will be to Doosan. Doosan can't afford to let Briggs take over Rushlift. Doosan will look at Cat after the Briggs takeover Briggs moved out all the cat trucks and replaced them with Yale over a couple of years. If they were to do the same with Rushlift move out Doosan and replace them with Yale , Doosan will have no ware to go. So i think Doosan will say to Rushlift name your price because if they don't they will struggle just like cat has done since Briggs took over.
I know someone at the Still dealer and they are trying to keep a lid on it. Stumbling block is its not worth the value without the dealership, so Still have no real competition, cos if they don't get it, they will take away the dealership..............................
Oh, and Rushlift WILL be sold to Briggs, you can put your house on it. As DonkeyPunch says, happy days for the rest of us !!
Looking forward to the in fighting and usual service engineer squabbling over t's & c's, who gets what travel time, blah, blah, blah. Get on with your job, if you're not happy dust off your CV.
Oh dear, I am told they still cant manage what they have got as it is. If it comes off good times ahead for us as customers leave them.
Shouldn't surprise anyone, Briggs have the cash to buy just about anyone other than a manufacturer. This seems to be their long term plan to buy market share and compete/overtake the big two. Possibly looking at the Corpacq flt business at some stage ?
Also, anyone heard that Still are buying someone in the Midlands ? Is it a dealer or separate company
I heard something a few weeks ago can't say where from but fairly solid
