Discussion:
running rough

Im still kind of new to this. I mostly work with Crown stand ups and can field strip one or diagnose just about anything with them. My problem is with our one sit down propane unit. I pulled it off line to replace the water pump. While it was apart I decided to do a basic tune up. Oil & filter, plugs, wires, O2 sensors, fuel filters(x2),PCV valve, and flush the radiator. After my tune up it runs worse! Very rough idle. The only success I have had is when I have reinstalled the spark plugs (had to make sure my gap was correct). Each time I have reinstalled she purrs like a kitten for about 5 seconds and then back to roughness. Oh, the exhaust is also spitting water if that is a clue to anyone.

Unfortunately my ape hands destroyed that with the disassembly. Now Im looking at my OEM spark plugs and wires with suspicion. I took them out and measured resistance with my multi meter to see if maybe one was bad. When I reinstalled the rough idle went away. It is still sporadic when I put any load on the engine however. Im thinking one of the wires may have a fault within.

First off, thank you for responding to my situation. This machine is only 2 years old and Im pretty sure they bought it new. In answer to your question: there are no fault codes flashing. No check engine light either. And yes, it will display the fault codes if you depress the gas pedal 3 times. It will also clear the fault code memory if you can press it 10 times in 5 seconds but you got to be quick. I have stripped and rebuilt the LP system from the tank to the throttle body without any change. I have even tried 3 different LP tanks in case something was wrong with them.

Ok next question then...is the dash display showing any codes or a light onnthe dash flashing....i know on some of the older doosans you can turn the key to the on postion and pump the gas pedal either three or five times and then you will get flash codes...believe on this. Truckmit would be a three digit code try three pedal pumps then five, not sure which it was.....lmight not even work on this truck, not sure

Did you use parts right from doosan for this truck or cheap aftermarket parts feom say TVH....? Alotmof trucks dont operate with sensors and especially O2 sensors that are aftermarket cheap crap.....and as for the water,is normal to see some water coming from the exhaust..lis a byproduct of the catalytic converter.... if aftermarket O2 sensor and spark plugs were installed i recommend installing OEM...
