Discussion:
ring gear/starter

Have had a truck with either teeth missing on the flywheel or starter pinion housing broken. The parts are oem the proper shimming has been done. The starters also have the recommended support bracket. Some customers never have any problems but this customer has only 3 trucks and they all have had the same issues? They are started repeatedly to move containers when needed. All the trucks have had the key switches replaced too.???

What we found was when we had the starters rebuilt they had the proper drive housing but when our client had them rebuilt they changed the housing.
