Discussion:
Retract

Hello

Having an issue with hydraulics on a doube reach. When the operator has the mast extended with a heavy load, it won't retract correctly. It will side shift one way completely and then it will do what is requested. Being as this has 5 hydraulic valves, can I get any ideas?

This is coming in very late, have you located and disassembled the diverter valve?
This valve is known to stick/ not open or close at the appropriate time.

I would check the solenoids for a sticking one...either in the tilt or the side shift proportional control valve

It's erratic at best when lowered. Their is a display on this unit that when you retract, extend, etc it displays what action you are doing. Sometimes when you request tilt down it will side shift completely right first then it willl tilt down. But all the while it will be displaying tilt down. I think it is a hydraulic issue an not a control issue but definitely am here to get all the input I can

Sounds like there is a soleniod spool sticking in the proportional control....another possibliity is a switch issue in the cntrol handle.....check your solenoids for a sticking one.....and chck for a sticking or malfunctioning control handle
