Request for advice - Non OEM parts for UK market

I am undertaking research on behalf of someone who is interested in importing non-OEM forklift parts for supply to the UK market.

Grateful for any relevant feedback
- size of the market
- acceptance of non-OEM parts by consumers
- is the market already well catered for by the big guys such as TVH
- does the predominance of leased forklifts in the UK market bode badly for this type of venture
- are there specific health & safety issues regarding the parts that I should be aware of, although all products will be CE marked as appropriate
- any other issues I should be aware of?

Appreciate any feedback that members can provide.
