I don't know this truck or transmission but it sounds to me like the sump take up filter might be blocked. On Yale trucks it may be located at the back of the transmission under a plate and gasket removing the plate you should be able to pull the filter and clean it. I'm just going of what I have experienced when I worked on trucks. It sounds like the pump is being starved of oil.
