It would be interesting to know where both companies source their cells. It doesn't appear that Alelion or Hoppecke manufacture the actual Li-Ion cells, they only assemble the finished cell and add a BMS.

In addition to the manufacturer, it would also be helpful to know what Li-Ion chemistry each company prefers.

I don't think you can make a reasonable inference about quality until you know that information
