Bought this 1975 forkilft as a non starter. Can sometimes get it to start and run for a couple of seconds but always dies. I am also a LPG newbie but so far I have opened the Impco Model J on it 3 times and cleaned every last little bit. There was a lot of junk in it, but nothing seems broken. Even disassembled and cleaned out the lockout valve, which also clicks ok when key on. I havent touched the part where the throttle valve is, is there someting in there that can go bad? Also why does a rod continue from the throttle valve to something that looks like a oil pump with small lever on it? What is that for? Anyway spark is good and the engine runs with starter spray. Im feeling like buying a whole new LPG mixer unit from ebay or somewhere... btw, Sparkplugs look like they might be original from 1975. Cant get them out because I dont have a socket for it. Looks like it could be about 26mm socket and it would have to be a very thin walled to get it in there. Does someone sell such sparkplug sockets?
