I have a cfy50b clark forktruck that I am about ready to drive off a tall cliff. It is in need of a tuneup in the worst way and was having issues with the regulator so I figured time for ignition system tune up all at the same time. The dist that was on the machine is a delco remy model#1110412 serial#7J26 and is no longer made and has no replacement that I can find through research. While trying to remove the cast distributor adaptor on the original distributor shaft, the mounting bolt hole broke off and is not unusable. This cast piece has "C400m230" pressed into the side of it FYI.

I contacted clark and had them send me the original factory build sheet for this machine based off the serial number of the truck and the spec sheet they sent me had a different distributor listed. Now, I dont know if the build sheet is inaccurate for my application or what, but the distributor listed does not work on my machine. I ordered a pertronix 610096 as the sheet listed but it simply is not going to work on this machine. The rotating part of the dist shaft fits snuggly into the cylinder head of my f4 engine. Even if I fabbed up a way to mount the thing so that the dist shaft would not fit snug and therefor could turn freely , It would sit way to tall to be able to put the seat back on the machine.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do for a different distributor?

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
