I'm not familiar with your exact truck but I've only seen 1 time (a Hyster) where the engine had to be removed to replace a clutch. Usually clutch replacement is possible with the engine/trans combo installed in the unit.

Without exact knowledge of your lift I would remove the top cover of the trans & see how the input shaft may slide out of the way.
