well disabling the horn being you are the only one in there is one thing but that fact alone combined with the fast driving might be a bad combination. what if u had an accident, tipped lift over or something, nobody around to help? not good....

i think some lifts use the horn as a warning when something is wrong like parking brake not set while off the seat and other things such as that. It may seen trivial but would certainly be worth getting someone to fix it before something bad happens.
