C016 is the component number
E011 is the error number
this error according to cats updated error code list:
Offset error of armature/field current (DC) and stator current (AC); current measuring point.
Display text: controller

Cause/Action:
check main power supply cable; replace component.

Now from what i have experienced sometimes the ribbon cables inside the controller will shake or vibrate loose out of their sockets.
You can remove the controller and VERY CAREFULLY remove the cover and check the connecting ribbon cables and see if any are loose. If you do find any loose ones, remove it, clean the connectors with contact cleaner and let dry. Reinstall the cable into the plug and use silicone sealer or some type of silicone around the plug to help hold it in place.

I would also double check the main drive buss fuses and make sure none are broken, do not go by looking at them, use a VOM meter and physically check them. Make sure the main harness connector is fully locked in place too.

Fact of the week
In March 2002, identical twins in Finland died on the same day in similar accidents within hours of each other. A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
