Mitsupillar (MCFA) is a "joint venture", and is a contractual entity, and as such each contract runs a specific length of time (usually in 5 to 10 year increments) and towards the end of each contract, the contracts, options and payments can be/are renegotiated. The terms and % 'owner ship' have changed over the life of MCFA. AS I understand it, currently the "Cat" trademark is used by paying Caterpillar inc a trademark fee, and the "trademark" is no longer "-Caterpillar-" lift trucks, but is "Cat" lift trucks.
