I have a Toyota forklift that has a no start problem. the engine light on the far right of the dash will flash 8 times then pause then 4 times. I have tried new grounds extra grounds. basically what I found is that the coil is getting power only when cranking. so I checked the relay it has constant power the governor ecu drops off the ground when your not cranking so it will fire up then die immediately when you release the key. I tried a new key switch. the problems seems fix its self every so often but it mainly does not stay running. any ideas would help I have hit a lot of dead ends

Fact of the week
Brothers Adolf ("Adi") and Rudolf ("Rudi") Dassler split their shoe company after WWII due to a bitter feud, and established the rival companies of Adidas and Puma. Their personal animosity and business rivalry divided their German hometown Herzogenaurach. The town became known as "the town of bent necks" due to the intense loyalty to each brand.
