I don't doubt that the 3373 could be an hr meter reading. What is confusing is that the current hr meter reading on the truck is in the 6000 hr range!! It turns out that the tech did not have our LX hand held analyser with him when he first went out to analyse the problem. When he went back he was able to plug in and the analyser gave him codes he did not have earlier. He isolated the #II rec by taking a new SRC , ("a known good part") and plugging it into the panel in the various locations until the symptom went away. Thanks for your comments on the the problem being a phantom. We will keep it in mind since as you say since the symptom (failed rec) could be a symptom of something deeper.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
