Just acquired this truck and the engine has a clicking noise when accelerated. The noise seems to be in/around the water pump area. At idle the engine runs very smooth but when accelerator is depressed significantly a (clicking) is very audible. I tightened the fan bolts, loosened the alternator, removed the belt and restarted momentarily and noise was still present seemingly eliminating these three items. Engine oil is at proper level and previous owner indicated this noise was present when he purchased the unit which he ignored. It is not in my nature to leave something this significant without attempting to correct the problem. Since I'm not familiar with Komatsu engines I can't believe this is acceptable. Also would like to obtain shop/parts manual should one be available for this lift which I believe to be SM028.
