Located far from industrial battery shops, so would like to do some of our own battery "reconditioning" to desulfate, adjust specific gravity and test condition. Bassi load bank (made in Italy) looks like exactly what we need and is $3,700 new, but just wondering if anyone has a used one out there for less.

And yes I know we could make one out of large resistors or even copper pipe in water bath...but want something compact, portable (under 200 lbs) and ready for action. Also a constant current charger would be of interest.

Thanks
