I have been troubleshooting this toyota reach truck now for about three days now, working on it whenever i can. It started with a motor brushes low indicator and a code 58. after changing the steer stop proximity sensors and checking the motor brushes, having the motor rebuilt, i ended up with a code 61. I changed out the steer motor, checked the tack(working properly), sent out the steer controller, even had them send me a new steer controller, no luck. Another tech has spoken to a toyota tech with no luck of fixing it. He said that there is a communication problem between the steer components and the controller "no ***!" Any help would be much appreciated i am about to just light the SOB on fire!
