I am not sure how the axle is secured on this truck, but i have had problems with some Cat machines where the axle wears in the holder but the back plate is bolted to the axle holder. This leaves the drum not lining up with the backplate and shoes. check that there is no movement up and down in the axle relative to the backplate.
