I would like to receive information regarding which is a better brand of forklift for a #5000 lb capacity diesel in relations to a new forklift. The comparison would include a Toyota, and a Caterpillar compared to a Daewoo forklift. Which ones have better parts availability, with quicker shipment, that has better service turnaround and that is a reasonably priced unit with a reasonable warranty plan? I need to decide if I should approve the approved equal submittal for a Daewoo which will probably end up being the low bid and I will have to award to the lowest bidder.
