there is a thermistor on the drive motor. It is a silver probe (looks like a piece of all thread almost) with two wires coming out of it. It ends 6 inches later at a plastic plug.
Several things could be wrong.
1. The motor may have an issue and be overheating - COMMON
2. The thermistor may be bad - seen this there is a test for it - Not so common an issue
3. The wiring or the plug may be damaged - THIS IS THE MOST COMMON... Check the wires and the plug.

If You have access run the diagnostic tests.
