740-09-bb14044... non cold storage...fore aft stance with the optional 2nd control handle...less than a 1,000 hd hours.
I know this is what most of us call a nuisance code (deadman pedal signals do not agree) but this one is driving me up a wall!
If you step into the truck & drive it facing the forks there is no problem it will run all day! BUT!!! if you turn around & face the back (to use the 2nd control handle) as soon as you step on the deadman it codes! It makes no difference how fast or slow you step on it or where your foot is placed.
So far I have replaced the bushings in the pedal shaft & the main pedal mounting bracket. It passes all the tests, the sensor & switch have both been replaced. The pedal height & switch are adjusted to factory specs (checked & rechecked many times) one of the guys even tried a vehicle manager (no help) I am back there again tomorrow morning. Has anyone else run into a similar problem? I am close to telling the customer to call a priest & have him drive the demons out...LOL because the truck seems like it is possessed!

Fact of the week
The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
