i had just this problem (apart from glow lamp flashing) when i was working for Linde.
it took a few days and too much testing to believe.
replace No 3 injector (one with wire) dont try for overhaul as i went down that line thinking i was covering every possibility.
this was the problem, new injector and ran perfect.
the glow lamp flahing indicates engine management problem, but it could just be picking up faulty injector.
part number for injector is VW038130201R and they are available from local VW garage at half Linde price (in UK!!)
