I would have expected this if it were the v6, to have the 3.0 Mitsubishi "caravan" power plant, (when we say "caravan" here in the states I think we are referring to a Dodge or Chrysler Minivan, I am not sure if there is such a beast "down under").
I doubt very seriously if there was a K21 Nissan motor back in 94. The closest Nissan back then was the h20. Most of these sold in the USA had a 4 cylinder (4gxx) Mitsubishi power plant.
