This is indeed a 2R engine, but I don't see how that helps me unless all the 2R engines use the same parts. Looking up 2R engine parts on google gives almost no useful results (that is, useful to me). I can see a 2R overhaul kit for a forklift which could be correct, but also not useful to me.

My thinking is that, if I find a specific model year of car that would have this engine (based on the other numbers of the engine code, perhaps?), I can then find part numbers from an auto parts store, plus after-market stuff like a spin-on oil filter adapter, etc.

Is there a way to decode the rest of the engine number? Once again, it is 2R 1652405.

I've found a list of cars on wikipedia that have used (possibly) a 2R engine, but haven't had any luck with this specific engine and it's peripherals.

Thanks for your replies.

At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
