Hello, I have an old Linde forklift Model H40D. Serial # 352f1001340, Has a Perkings 1004.4 I use around the shop. Works good but about 6 months ago I was using it to re-roof back part of the shop. As I lifted last batch of R panel, it cut off. Has been sitting since. Couple of years back I replaced the shut off solenoid with a Fuel Shutoff Solenoid 7167-620D 7185-900T. I have just ordered another one.

Replaced the aftermarket lift pump, and my wiring is junk. Maybe my ignition switch and the inline switch to the cut off solenoid are bad. There are some relays under the dash. I don't require fancy wiring and wanted to run a hot wire to a new ignition switch. From there to the 12 V lift pump. Also a wire to a toggle switch in line then to the positive side of the fuel cut off solenoid. This way I could crank the motor with the pump running then open the cut off solenoid with this inline switch after the fuel line was pressured up.

Will this work? Don't know if constant 12 V to the cut off solenoid while operating the forklift will mess up the cut off solenoid.

Once I have fuel to and through the injector pump, next step if it doesn't run, is to see if the injector needs replacing or rebuilding. At this point, I'm not getting fuel to the injectors. Motor will fire with starter fluid. Thanks for any help you can provide me. Joe.

Fact of the week
In Germany, the 9th of November is sometimes called Schicksalstag, the "Day of Fate" because it has been the day for several major historical events, including the horrors of Kristallnacht in 1938 and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
