We got a beautiful old C500HY55 in the shop but it has some issues.

1. Clutch pedal goes down but does not return. It has a manual transmission with a clutch pedal and a brake pedal with 1 master cylinder...no inching pedal. What force or spring pushes the clutch pedal back up? Right now with the engine running if you push the clutch pedal to the floor it will stay there and then you can pull it back with your toe to run the machine. With the engine off the clutch pedal returns.

2. Next issue is the power steering pump was run dry and only really makes assist at higher RPM and its noisy. We are going to replace. Does the power steering pressure push back the clutch in any way?
