although knowing the year mfg might be helpful to some degree having a full model and serial number off of the data plate would be better.
But with that said i can look up some general info that may or may not be accurate. Also the revision letter makes a difference too. From what i can find after looking through the different literature this one may be a Rev C unit.
The codes it is displaying indicates 01 - Internal ECM error - EPROM not programmed, replace ECM.
The 02 indicates ECM/Platform communication error. - Malfunctioning control cable OR malfunctioning platform controls. - troubleshoot control cable OR troubleshoot platform controls.

My guess is you did not program the ECM when you installed it, or got an incorrect revision. (if you look on the old ECM it should have a part number on it and that number should have been what you ordered). All genie parts have part numbers on them. Also when ordering ECM's genie always asks for specific information like model, serial and revision number and most likely the software revision level currently.
When you install a new ECM you always have to program it on startup, i'm pretty sure it will force you to do this which is what it is probably attempting to do.
There is a proceedure in the service literature that instructs how to change the software configuration on page 4-9 (assuming i am looking at the correct manual for your machine). If you follow that it should allow you to check and reset the correct configuration.
When you get new ECM's they have a general base setup that may or may not be correct for your machine, it is up to the installer to make sure the configuration is correct for THAT machine and do the proper calibrations for lift and travel before putting the machine in service.
You can go on genie's website and get the service literature for your machine by serial number which is only obtainable by serial number lookup method.
There was a change in the ECM's so having the correct literature will be the only way you can get the right info to get past this.
