This is for my uncle's forklift. We're trying to figure out the transmission fix for his Yale Hyster forklift. Story is the transmission ran out of fluid. No leaks just never checked it and it was low when the problem started happening. After placing fluid back in, the forklift is sluggish going forward and no reverse. He pulled out the engine and is not sure where to go from there. Does the transmission have a pump that would burn if there's no fluid? Where is the pump located?

If anyone has experience on how to fix or troubleshoot, it would be much appreciated.

The folks we trying to get the manual from says it was built in 1993. I'm not sure about the exact model number, but I will try read info from the plate.

GDP080LCNUBE088DS
Type DS
Serial N523410

Other info from the folks that is trying to find the manual
GDP-LC, 1993

Thanks so much!
