Code 317 Brake switch and Brake potentiometer are not the same.
If you can access the analyzer menu, the brake pot should be between 15 and 20% when the brake switch is activated. It will show as 0 or 1 in the analyzer menu. If not try calibrating the brake pot.

"Unicarriers - it would have to be for a dual fuel unit also. Usually a bad cam or crankshaft sensor will throw a E-27 or a E-28 code on the dash panel... If it does not light up and the bulb is bad then it will not start also."
