i know some times i get criticized on here but i was just wondering what people thought of this 2 x BYD lithium iron battery trucks. To replace 2 Gas trucks. Savings over £7000 per truck per year. ROI in just over 2 years post

this is the question i asked

From what you are saying, the BYD truck is 14,000 more than the lpg truck and a saving of 7,000 per year gives you a ROI of under two years.

The BYD truck will use around 7.4 kWh of electricity per hour. Based on an average price of 0.14 per KWh that's 1.03 per hour. The lpg truck should use around 3kg of gas per hour, based on a average price of 0.5 that's 1.5 per hour. So the difference is 0.47 per hour. So to save 7,000 per year you would have to work for 7,000 hours plus save around 3,000 on service per year

Fact of the week
According to studies published in the English Journal of Medicine, the impact of daylight savings is revealed by a 24% increase in heart attacks on the Monday following the spring shift forward. When clocks move back in autumn, heart attacks drop by about 21%, suggesting that loss of sleep is an important driver.
