I was wondering if anyone has a break down of the steer motor in a 740DR32TT, serial# 740-09-BB13906. It is a hydraulic motor, I would call it more of a gear box than a steer motor but whatever. It had a small leak and I am hoping to get this fixed before the holidays (tomorrow), I ordered a seal kit so I didn't have to replace the motor and took it apart before I went to get the part, I just removed the bottom cover so I could leave all the hoses connected, and would deal with the small pour of oil. Well turns out the part will not be in until tomorrow so I came back to the shop and tried putting the bottom cap on and stop the small flow of oil back to a very small drip. I could not get it back together correctly and stop the leak and now it will only spin one way. I am sure I can figure it out tomorrow, I just am reaching out to get some pointers and advice. I really would like a break down of the motor so I know how it works and avoid removing the lines and disassembling the whole thing.
As always thanks in advance, you guys have helped me in the past that's why I am reaching out.
