Discussion:
creaking brakes

I've got an older (10,000 hour) c5000 that I purchased used. Everything looks and works well except that when I creep in forward or reverse by releasing the inching pedal, the wheels stutter and creak at very low speeds. The noise and jittering goes away when I get going a little faster. My suspicion is that the brakes are dragging, but I don't know if pulling the wheels off is the first good step. Any advice before I take it in for service?

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
