Discussion:
Water pump and timing belts

I have a Cat G40 10N or M 00050 with a Mitsubushi V6 6G72 TJ5024. I have a front sel leak and a coolant leak I suspect from the water pump. I need the procedures and settings for the timing belt and cams and any shortcuts or voodoo things to watch out for to repair this problem, Thanx

Just like a dodge mini van,Except you got more room in the lift.Get on Auto zone dot com look up a 91 or 92 dodge caravan with 3.0 or 3.3 and it will show timming marks. They are easy to find located at top of cam gear and crank gear.I would install new seals, water pump and belt while doing job.check tensioner or replace.Install belt and turn engine over 2 times to realign marks in direction that slacks towards tensioner then tighten all down and check alignment. Not to bad a job.Just like a 4g63 with 2 cams.
