We just had a engine rebuilt for a H30D. It is a VW CBHA engine for a H30D. If we spray diesel starter fluid into the air intake the engine starts for about 5 seconds. We have fuel from the filter to the vacuum pump. But not sure from there? Anyway to test the injectors? Any Suggestions would be welcomed!!!

Hook up laptop and go to motor Diagnostic and check the basic timing degree. I set mine about 50, a range of 25 to 70. injection pump timing could be off. I have had readings as hige as 102 and as low as 15
I found the easiest way to bleed the system was to remove the return banjo fitting from the injector pump and connect a hand pump to pull the diesel through as there is no primer pump for these engines. Saves a lot of excess engine cranking!
you prime the injector pump and bleed out the injector lines before trying to start?
bleeding the air out of the system is a must or it just wont start up due to air lock in the lines.
this truck also has a p3008 code iv found out and the glow plug light flashing
