Hey guys having a weird problem with drive on a 740DR32TT At first thought it was mechanical drive motor was very jerky and noisy checked drive unit and OK put motor from different truck on and OK I know problem is in motor but not sure where to go from here.. any ideas Thanks

That drive motor is a Delta cofingured induction motor. Therefore you cannot test it with an ohms meter. Sounds like an open stator on one phase.

Food for thought. I just rebuilt a toyota 5S 3w gearbox. Box was noisy and when I turned the tire by hand it would catch and not turn over smooth. Once I took the motor out the gear box turned fine, but it still wasn't the motor. the gear box just had no load. Found a bad mark from an impact (column) on the tapered bearing closest to the wheel.
