Discussion:
Quit moving

Forklift has had on problems. Been using all day but got on and started it would not move. Does not even bump into forward or reverse. Wheels are locked up even in neutral.
Trans oil full, red and no burn odor. Linkage is moving on trans. but no engagement feel. Parking brake is free and not engaged.
Drove up and turned off then got back on and started and no movement.
Even if linkage would have come off in trans it should roll.
No sounds like stripped or broken shaft in trans or diff.
Took off top cover valve body and found snap ring came out of drum and piston blew out of drum causing no pressure.
Does anyone know what comes apart from trans to differential?
Can they be split apart and leave differential in forklift?

As last post said it a shame that you can't take it apart in the truck but you must remove the complete trans and dismantle completely to take the packs out of that trans.

Some of them have a short drive line between trans and differential. Remove driveline, engine, then trans. If it doesn't have a driveline you pull the engine and take the trans and differential out together. Or you leave the engine in pull the mast off take the trans and diff/axle housing out together and then split it once it's out. Goodluck!
