Discussion:
Propane leaking from my air box

I have a 2015 Mitsubishi FG15N <-- wouldn't let me choose that exact model number. I just bought it from a guy in Toledo who said it was "fleet maintained" et cetera. Well, it's become suddenly very hard to start. I'm having to slam the gas pedal to the floor to get it to start. Once started it runs pretty good but does have some RPM drops here and there.

I'm not a forklift technician by any means so I hit Google and found this place. Checking a few things I got from videos on youtube, I noticed that at times when I turn the key on it'll hiss propane from the airbox. I'm assuming this has everything to do with it hard starting since it's most likely not getting enough fuel to make the start. Could any of you point me in the right direction on this? Just from my couple hours of research I think I've narrowed it down to the injectors. Could this be it? If so, is there any way to clean the properly to get them working without replacing them both? Would appreciate any input from you guys, love the site, very thankful for sites like these.

There is a plug on top of the fuel pressure regulator. You should have no more than 4.5 psi there. If there is more than that it will need a regulator or a regulator kit. Too much pressure and the injector will not be able to open. There is also a relief valve In the injector holder that could be opening if there is to much pressure. That could be why the hiss from the air box. if pressure is ok then look at injector replacement.
