Prime Mover error codes

What does the Prime Mover error code 31 Mean? Every time I turn the steering, it shuts down, then I get that code.

I believe that is a steer encoder error. Clark has the same truck and that is what the code is.

i'll assume this is an orderpicker?
it probably has steering sensors or an encoder on it and one of the steer limit sensors is off or the encoder is bad.

other than a bad encoder there are also thing like if it has an encoder how is it mounted? or what connects it to the drive unit? is the connector tight on the encoder shaft? Things such as this can cause errors.

Just a couple of things to ponder while troubleshooting :o)

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
