Discussion:
Parts and manuals for Baker-Linde B30?

Ive got a Baker/Linde B30-PL forklift that I need both parts and any manuals I can find for it.
It is powered by a VW engine..probably a industrial version of the Jetta. The "computer" that keeps the RPMs set no matter what load goes on or off has died and Im trying to locate another one..or will take suggestions on alternative methods..like a pedal. I loaned it to a guy, he kicked the "computer" off the firewall..and then when it was hanging free..it rained into it. So "it no work no mo" What the dickens is that little paperback sized box called...and where do I get one?
How do I adjust distributor timing? Etc etc.
Hep me Mr Wizard! (Grin)
Ive had this thing for almost 10 yrs...got it from an auction for the City of Los Angeles..and someone had swapped plug wires around so it wouldnt start. Got it cheap. It has less than 1400 hrs on the hobbs meter, and Id like to get it back running again and keep it maintained. It does everything I want it to do here on the homestead..but its been down for 6 months and I want my baby back!!
Any help..would be appreciated!!

Fact of the week
At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
