park brake isn't disengaging

I have a J40ZT serial J160N02959D that has started having issues with the auto park either not releasing or completely releasing (the park indicator seems to be working) Moving it 10 or 15 feet causes a hot brake smell.. I do not have the pass code as it was bought recently at auction. Is there anything I can check for (fuses, links, adjustments) before calling a tech out?

Most hyster pass codes are based off vin # last 5 numbers

but on keypad you have 12345
so take 12345
67890

then vin last 5 didgits 02959


Then 0 becomes 5 2 is 2 9 becomes 4 5 is 5 9 becomes 4


so passcode should be 52454 unless someone has changed it.
