Discussion:
P03 and P07 Fault codes

Hi has anyone had these fault codes before? I know they are both communication errors and have checked everything i can think of. Even tried swapping VCM with another identical unit.
Have checked loom can see any issue there.

Thanks brad

It's a older unit. Lift works fine just jeeps popping up these codes.

Not sure if that harness would work in a 1F4 model. I only encountered that issue in the 1F2 models. Does your dash turn off as soon as you shut the key off? Unicarriers tech service told me back then that it wouldn't cause any harm. Is this a new unit or did it just start happening all of a sudden? If it is a used unit then it is probably something else causing that problem.

Hello Keith; That p/n for the repair harness that causes the P07 code is 24027-FV50A When it first came out Unicarriers only had about 6 on hand, and that was years ago. I'm retired now so maybe they have more on hand now. Good luck!!!

Your dash monitor is probably shutting off when you turn the key off. Your VCM still holds power for a few seconds and cannot communicate with the monitor therefore causing your P07 code. The newest trucks keep power to the monitor so the two can communicate with each other. This code is not harmful to the but is more of just a pain because it keeps coming up all the time. Nissan makes a sub harness to install to keep power to the dash monitor for about 3 seconds.
