Omega Lift 4416T-16RS Problems

I purchaced two of these units two years ago and both have been very problematic. Everything from faulty gauges that have not been replaced to cracks in the lift carraiges and masts on both units. All bearings in one units masts have been replaced twice, sticking hydraulics on both units creating serious saftey issues and poor too no service from both the seller Capital Industrial or from Omega themselves. At this point I wish I had never looked at them as an option but there are so few rough terrains in that capacity available outside of going way overkill to a catapillar or the like.
Has anyone else got any feedback about these machines or the Company representation that may confirm these are problems from the start or did I just get two lemons.

I don't know anything about Omega trucks but with two of you experiencing the same problems it certainly is not good advertising for them.
It's too bad when forklift manufacturers care more about the prospects who have not yet purchased anything instead of trying develop loyalty from people who have put trust in their company by purchasing their products. I think that it happens way, way, way too often in this industry. All I can say is watch out for the flip side because it has a way of coming back to haunt them.
It reminds me of how you get treated at some resort golf courses, once you get to the first tee they hound you and watch you like a hawk so that you don't hold up the golfers who haven't even gotten to the course yet. Well you know maybe they never will!

On Omega Lift 2X series (diffrent model but same manufacturor), we have run into problems with frames cracking at the drive axle. In addition, the beam of the lifting mast cracked where the bracket for the tilt cylinder is welded to the mast.

Is any one else seeing these problems???

I used to work for 'crapital' :-) for 5 years. (many years ago)

Their attitude is "there are always more customers", and "there are always more mechanics."

This attitude has has left them with little/no experienced techs. (not to mention unhappy ex-customers)

I work for Wajax in Edmonton, we'd be happy to sort out your problems... however, it'll cost you to fix it right.

We don't have a lot of omega lift experience, but we do have all the best road techs capital ever hired... :-)
