Older Yale ERC040JA N455494

I'm looking to install a backup alarm on an older Yale ERC040JA N455494. I would like to know if anyone has instructions and/or a schematic for this; I thought about adding a relay and wiring from the reverse contactor? Any help is appreciated

yep, wire it up to the reverse switch circuit

if you wire it into the control panel at the contactor you will get feedback through the back alarm and then you'll have to install a filter across the alarm, not to mention it may cause some feedback through the control card and can cause other undesirable issues.

I would offer that it would be best if you keep it at the rev. switch, please do not try and use some lead from the control/chopper or contactor panels that reads battery volts when in reverse.

"it's not rocket surgery"
No need for relay. Just hookup the backup alarm to battery negative and revers switch.
