Discussion:
Not Moving

I am working on a T50E. The truck doesnt move in forward or reverse. The fuses are all ok , and I have a spare directional lever that I plugged in and still nothing. When I move the directional lever I feel the solenoids are getting the signal but I was wondering if maybe they might be going bad. They didnt have much magnetic pull when i checked them. The u-joint is fine. I have a maintenace and parts book but they are vague. The only other thing I can think of is put a gauge on it. Anyone think of anything else to try?

The negative circuit for the trans solenoids is through the interlock switch on the parking brake handle. If that part of circuit is open then trans will not engage even if you have 12 volts from the direction switch to the trans solenoids.

At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
