Discussion:
No start turns over

Our 7FGCU20 will not start. Full tank in proper position for liquid pickup. Turns over great. Compression is 150 each cylinder. All plugs are sparking. Unit will start on ether. I pulled the injector and I can feel it pulsing puffs of propane when cranking. The large low pressure hose has pressure when cranking. Not sure what do about this. Any tips?

There is a vacuum hose that goes from the mixer at the bottom by the governor to the back side of the regulator. I found that if I remove this hose it will start and run pretty close to perfect. If I reconnect the vacuum hose it instantly dies. If it is connected it will not start. (BTW took out the drain and nothing came out) The regulator is an Asian type c also tagged 30F80.

Is it just the initial start that is difficult? It starts fine after the unit has been warmed up and in operation for a while? If so, the regulator is likely full of wax and needs to be drained.

On which hose? The large hose or the injector hose?

If you have a gauge, the lp pressure should be in the 1.5-5psi range

No it's not freezing. Do you know the procedure to test the regulator?

I'm assuming the regulator isn't freezing up? I would clean the throttle plate first
