Unit will not power up. No BDi display. Hour meter is working and i check the wire harness that plugs in the back of the hour meter/ service panel and the fuse. Battery voltage is 24.I have checked both disconnect switches. The diode on the line contractor test ok. Line contactor ohms are 55. When i install the handset the code is COM (communication error). I have key on power to the controller. Anything else to check before I replace the controller? Fuses on the control panel test ok.

No, l/h control pod is the one with the keyswitch, r/h control pod is the one with the twist grip.
If ed contactor is not pulling in, and there is voltage to controller, ed -ve is from mrc1, +ve is after both emergency stop swtiches,
Is the l/h control pod the panel where you plug in the battery charger?
I would pull the l/h control pod off and check the connector is fully inserted and none of the terminals are loose. It should show a CAN fault but its worth a look before replacing the main controller.
