Discussion:
No lift/lower when traveling

Hello all, This esc040 will not lift or lower when traveling.
(Serial a833n02548c)
This has two Curtis 1243c traction controllers and a 1254c pump controller.

I have tilt and side shift when traveling but no lift or lower, I have lift or lower when not traveling.

, using the handset, I have multifunction on. I've swapped control handles and have no change.

Does anyone have any ideas I could be missing? Thank you

Hanks again for the help. Reset factory defaults, calibrated joystick, set Bdi and now good to go!

I found it going in via the horn button and using the joy stick and deadman, I reset defaults, trying to calibrate the joy stick tomorrow.

Should show up like this (HydrDB). Defaults should show up in the main menu. If you cannot see defaults it could be because of the access level you have in your handset.

THanks brewski,

Using the Curtis handset I'm not seeing a "simultaneous function deadband" there is a deadband setting but it just says deadband and it was at 0. I moved the value around but had no change.

I'm also not seeing any default or return to factory settings option.

There are 2 settings in the menu called "Simultaneous Function Deadband". The Default settings are 1 which gives the narrowest dead band width. If you set the hydraulic dead band to its max value, it will not allow hydraulics when travel is selected first. Either change the setting to a lower value or do a defaults and reset and it should correct the problem.

There are different software versions that have different max values and setting the drive dead band to its max value will not disable it like it does the hydraulic side.

Fact of the week
The word "okay" (or its abbreviation "OK") originated as a humorous misspelling. In the 1830s, a fad in Boston involved using abbreviations of intentionally misspelled phrases. "OK" stood for "oll korrect," a playful mispronunciation of "all correct".
