Serial number is A9338U2472Y which makes it a '78 model.
Originally the unit had a damaged EV-1. It had two burned up resistors. I was unable to replace these as I didn't know what they were. I located a replacement EV-1 online. The seller shipped me two. When installed both of these allow the forward and reverse contactors to close, but there is no forward motion. A1 does not close. I replace the coil in A1 with a new one as it measure way out of spec. If I manually close A1 with F or R closed (with drive wheel jacked up), the drive wheel will spin, so the motor and that part appears to be good.
I have the service manual with the green supplement, but have been unable to do some of the tests, as it refers to EV-1B checks and adjustments. I have the Hyster EV-1 Motor Controller Trouble Shooting and Repair pamphlet, but not the EV-1B.
Page 11 talks about checking the wires to the motor current sensor for open circuit. No idea where this sensor is, and I can't find it on any of the drawings.
Battery voltage on what I think is SRC 1 measures 36V. Pretty sure it's 1Rec as per page 23 the OPERATING & MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS MODELS EV-1A, EV-1B, EV-1C, EV-1D.
What's the best way to test this SCR?
I have no idea where SCR2 is.
The accelerator pot voltages as per page 12 of the Hyster EV-1 Motor Controller Trouble Shooting and Repair pamphlet are correct.
Is it possible both of these EV-1's are bad? How do I test them?
thanks
